VIP Program at Everest Part II 10/30/2010
(This is the second of two entries regarding the Everest Poker VIP Program) The Death Zone – The benefits from the Death Zone should be able to compete with the top US poker sites. You need 30k SPs to get into the Death Zone, and this gives you an SP bonus rate of 700%. If you are a fan of the cash bonuses, you will be happy to know that you will be able to convert SPs to up to $2k every month. This VIP level also has the maximum refer-a-friend bonus of $200. Aside from the monthly $10k event, you also get to compete in a $25k freeroll. It is not usual for download free poker sites to have so many large freeroll tournaments. Aside from your personalized customer support, you now receive assistance for brick-and-mortar tourney registration and can cash in SPs for brick-and-mortar tournament buy-ins. You will receive the benefits from this level for three months. The Summit – If you want to be the best on one of the top Texas Holdem sites, you will want to be in the Summit. This aptly named VIP level is the highest level possible, and you get in after you have collected a minimum of 50,000 monthly SPs. As a reward for their hard efforts, the players that make it receive a 750% SP bonus rate. Every month points can be converted for up to $5k in bonus funds. Your other perks remain the same as in the Death Zone, and unlike the VIP program you get when you use a PokerStars marketing code, you get your perks for three months. One thing I should mention: the bonus SPs do not affect your VIP level. As with VIP programs on most of the best Mac poker sites, you only move up in VIP levels with non-bonus SPs. There is a nice points calculator on their website which estimates the amount of points you will earn based on hands played, game type, and limit. Using the calculator determines that if you played 50,000 hands per month at $1 - $2 6-max, you would earn about 33,000 base SPs, putting you in the Death Zone. Unlike the top VIP levels on some flash Texas Holdem sites, this is not so bad. Also consider how many bonus points you will earn along the way! All cash bonuses cost 250x the amount in Summit Points on your Everest Poker download. This means that $10 costs you 2,500 SPs. Everest chose to make this conversion rate the same for each VIP level. It is important to remember that higher VIP levels means huge SP multipliers, however. If you can play a lot of hands, the VIP program at Everest gives some excellent rakeback.
